Growing food at home has many challenges: Weather, pests, weeds, disease, soil. Learn time-saving tips on how to grow a successful garden without the use of harmful chemicals or petroleum-based fertilizers. Learn how to feed your soil so that your plants are happy and healthy, how to identify noxious weeds before they get out of control, and how to protect from pests using holistic methods that encourage biodiversity.

Register for Things are Looking Up: Going Vertical in Your Garden
Gardening season is upon us, and it is never too early to start planning. Topics include plant spacing, seed starting, companion planting, and soil maintenance. Participants will leave with a tray of cold-weather seed starts of their choosing. Sign ups for the new community garden plots at Switchyard Park will also be available.
